New Projects

New Projects

  1. Click on the Admin menu, choose "New Project" this will bring you to the "New Project" page.
  2. Project Settings
    1. In the "Project Name" field, enter the name of your project.
    2. In the "Client Name" field, pick your client.
    3. In the "Due Date" click and you will get a pop up calendar to chose date
    4. In the "Phase Template" field, choose the Translation Only Translation Process Template from the drop down menu.
  3. Show Advanced Settings (option in the header bar)
    1. Advanced Project Settings
      1. "Save TM to" pick the TM vault you would like to save your Translation Memories to.  You can pick a public vault or create a private vault and select that one.
      2. "Accept Segment Threshold" you can pick a glossaries you subscribe to or you can create your own glossaries and select that one.
      3. "Enable Feeds" this allows you to subscribe to an RSS feed and have that populate your projects document list. (This is in limited Beta and will only work with the feeds title and description and not the entire document)
    2. TM Vaults
      1. Click "Add" to select TM Vault
    3. Glossaries
      1. Click "Add" to select Glossaries
    4. Tags
      1. Click "Add" to add Tags
    5. MT Engines
      1. Click "Add" to add MT Engines
  4. Document
    1. Browse for the file(s) that you want to add.
    2. The "Document Name" field will be automatically populated with the filename of the document that you browsed to. If you would like to give the file a new name, you can edit this field.
    3. Pick the "Original File Format" type.
    4. Set the "Priority"
  5. Feeds
    1. "Feed URL" enter in the .xml RSS feed url. This will import the feed into your documents list. (This is in limited Beta and will only work with the feeds title and description and not the entire document)
  6. Language Settings
    1. From the "Source:" drop down menu, choose the source language.
    2. From the "Target(s):" menu, select one or more target languages (Use Ctrl to select multiple languages).
    3. Click the blue right arrow button to add the selected target languages to the project.
    4. Click "Save"
  7. Assignments
    1. Once the Language Setting has been set you can add translators to the first phase of the project to begin translation. Please note that you can only add the first phase of translators at this time. In a future release we will have this resolved. You will need to go to Projects > Select Project > Select Document and go to the "Targets" tab to make the remainder of the phase assignment
    2. Select the "Target"
    3. Select the Translator and click on the right arrow
    4. Selece the next "Target" if you have multiple targets 
    5. Select the Translator and click on the right arrow.
  8. Click "Save" to save project
