Job Description:
Lingotek provides web based translation tools that allow companies to move translation services and translation project management online. Services we provide include translation project management, collaborative translation using volunteer communities, professional translation services, and technologies such as natural language processing, translation memories, and machine translation.

Role:

The QA Engineer III position requires 6-8 years of experience doing web based software testing and familiarity with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures. As a QA Engineer III, you will rely on your extensive experience and judgment to help design QA test frameworks, processes and procedures. You may lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. You will define, document, analyze, perform, interpret, and automate tests for product management and translation features of our web based product. You will test multiple browsers and work with different file formats and languages, creating, uploading, and testing content under various conditions. You will assist in the definition of internal quality control standards for the maintenance and reliability of our applications.

Responsibilities:

• Develop QA test frameworks, including nested and hierarchical tests for all common web browsers
• Write automated tests and test suites using selenium, web driver, java or other tools and technologies
• Design, execute and document test cases for web-based applications
• Identify, reproduce, and isolate software defects
• Report and track defects using defect management software
• Work with software developers and test leads to clarify feature specifications and defect reproduction

Requirements:

• 6-8 years experience
• Bachelors or Masters Degree in a Computer Engineering or Computer Science field.
• Demonstrated experience designing testing frameworks
• Demonstrated proficiency programming automated tests and using test automation toolkits
• High degree of computer and web literacy, including demonstrated experience with firebug, javascript, html and css, and other related web technologies
• Experience with managing multiple code distribution targets and delivery environments
• Solid understanding of software quality best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Foreign language experience preferred
